In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of the collections strategies across the Mortgages Portfolio as well as forecasting the delinquency profile and bad and doubtful debts. Timely and accurate forecasting is critical in providing early insights into the future movements of the Mortgages portfolio.  The primary objectives include optimising collections strategies and forecasting to maximise returns from a profit, and return on capital perspective.

Key responsibilities include:

  Conduct analysis to develop collections strategies to improve BDD and delinquency rates of the Mortgages Portfolio. 

  Robust reporting and detailed review of collections quality trends/ warning signals

  Develop forecasting methods for provisioning and delinquency rates.

  Assist in explaining monthly and weekly variances to set targets and forecasts.

  Ad-hoc analysis on delinquent Mortgages portfolio.

  Adherence to Model Risk Policy for Basel models, scorecards & provisioning mechanisms

To be successful in this role, you will be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline and have prior experience in a financial services or collections discipline. You will possess strong technical skills with SAS and/or SQL or similar tools. Your ability to analyse and report in a thorough manner, strong commercial acumen and ability to communicate across a large and varied audience will be key selection criteria.
